Assyrian/Babylonian
Wind Demon
Pazuzu is an Assyrian and Babylonian demon king of the wind who was ironically used as protection against other evil spirits, especially Lamashtu.
Despite being a demon, Pazuzu was invoked to protect pregnant women and infants from Lamashtu, a female demon who preyed on the vulnerable.
