A Poltergeist (from German for “noisy spirit”) is a type of supernatural phenomenon involving unexplained physical disturbances, such as loud noises, moving objects, or electrical malfunctions. Associated with hauntings, poltergeists are studied in parapsychology and appear frequently in folklore and media.
