Prajñā

Meaning (Etymology):
Prajñā means “penetrative wisdom”—a knowing that arises prior to thought and exceeds conceptual understanding.

Symbolic Meaning:
Prajñā is the seeing light of emptiness. It does not grasp objects, but perceives the mode of appearance itself. Truth is known as transparency, not possession.

Esoteric Level / Archetype:

• Archetype of feminine wisdom: receptive, incisive, non-grasping.

• United with Upāya (skillful means), Prajñā becomes liberating insight.

• Often personified as Prajñāpāramitā, wisdom beyond all shores.

Inner Function:
Prajñā does not divide—it unravels. Illusions dissolve not through struggle, but through clear recognition of their emptiness.

Prajñā knows there is nothing solid to know—and in that, it is complete.
