Theta waves
Theta waves correspond to deep consciousness, where the personal self is largely dissolved. Time loses structure, images arise autonomously, and mythic or archetypal scenes unfold.
Cosmologically, theta is the final threshold before the source. Here it is no longer the soul that speaks, but the ancient—collective memory, dream, vision. This state is powerful but perilous; without alpha as a return path, integration may fail.
